Geek Alabama Weekend Planning

Halloween is on a Saturday this year!  And before you and your kids go out trick-or-treating, why not stop by the Neewollah on Noble 2015 in downtown Anniston?  Main Street Anniston, formally the Spirit of Anniston, will put on the big downtown event from 10 am to 4 pm on Saturday, October 31st.

This year Main Street Anniston is promising the biggest Neewollah event yet!  There will be plenty of great things for anyone to do!  Anyone can paint an pumpkin or decorate a scarecrow at the pumpkin painting station.  Anyone can enjoy the carnival games and the kid zone.  There will be inflatables and train rides for the kids.  Kids can build something in the Home Depot Kids Workshop.  There will be live music including Brick City Vibe and other artists.  And for this year, you will be able to win stuff including cash!

Neewollah will have a Cornhole Tournament.  The Cornhole Tournament will start at 11 am.  Pre Registration will be from 9 am till 10:30 am.  Top prize is $500, and the top three places will have a cash reward!  It will cost $20 to enter the tournament per player, and the tournament will be set up at 12th and noble.  Nearby will also be a beer garden!  There will also be a Pumpkin Pie Eating Contest at 1 pm.  There will also be a Costume Contest at 2:30 pm and a Pet Costume Contest afterwards.

During the event, you can enjoy Ted Turgeon’s Martial Arts Demonstration at 1:30 pm.  Other than the special events, you can enjoy arts/crafts vendors, food vendors, freaky fitness station, treat walks, and stores in downtown will be open to serve customers.  Neewollah on Noble will be from 10 am to 4 pm on Saturday, October 31st.  Admission is free!  Learn more at: https://www.facebook.com/SpiritOfAnniston/
