This is Crowdsourcing Mornings! This post takes place every weekday morning and highlights one crowdsourcing project I liked from Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or other crowdsourcing websites.
The book is a collection of the best religion jokes on SMBC over the last ten years! And, as a bonus, there will be a number of exclusive comics. The number will be determined by the amount of funding raised during the Kickstarter. So, it this book mean to religion? Not really. Or, at least, the nature of the humor isn’t mean-spirited, but the comic does mock plenty of sacred concepts. If you are a religious person, they hope you laugh in the same way they hope science fans laugh at the science jokes in their last book.
Why a book of religion jokes? They got such a huge response from the book of science-themed comics, that they decided they wanted to keep doing themed collections for a bit. Religion seemed like a natural next step. If this book is successful, they’ll either do philosophy or sex next, depending on demand.
As of October 29th this project has raised around $240,000 of their $15,000 goal. This project only has 19 days left to raise as much as it can! For a pledge of $10, you will get a eBook of both the comic collection and the mini-bible. For a pledge of $20, you will get an hardcover copy of the book plus everything in the $10 pledge level.
