This holds a special place in my heart! 25 years ago, George H.W. Bush signed the Americans with Disabilities Act. The act prohibits employment discrimination and guarantees access to public places and transportation. If you read Geek Alabama regularly, you know I have a mental disability called Asperger’s Syndrome. And the ADA act has opened a lot of doors for us in the disabled world, but a lot of work still needs to be done!
