This is amazing stuff!  The YouTube channels Veritasium and SmarterEveryDay did videos about the truth of the toilet swirl.  You know, the toilet swirl direction is different in the northern and southern hemispheres.  But it turns out that the toilet design makes it impossible to determine if this is true.  So both Destin Sandlin and Derek Muller set up a kiddie pool in Alabama and Australia, let the water sit for 24 hours, and pulled a plug and used food dye to determine the swirl of the water.

Guess what, the toilet swirl myth is true!  And both YouTube channels did something else amazing, they synchronized their videos so you can watch both videos below at the exact same time.  The graphics are the same, and each YouTuber speaks one at a time.  To set this up, play one YouTube video and pause it when it says”synchronize videos.”  Then play the other video, and when it gets to “synchronize videos”, play the paused video, and you will have an amazing experience, enjoy!
