Picture1ergfeg

Over the past year or two,  Andrew and Jon Erwin have been filming the new movie called “Woodlawn” around the Birmingham Metro.  The movie stars Oscar winner Jon Voight as legendary coach Paul Bear Bryant and Caleb Castille as Woodlawn High School star and Alabama standout Tony Nathan.  The film depicts Nathan’s high school career and recruitment by Coach Bryant in the 1970’s while the state still had major problems with racial tension.

The film will also depict 1974 Banks vs. Woodlawn football game at Birmingham’s Legion Field that holds the record for most attendees of a high school football game in the state to this day.  Pure Flix and Provident Films have released the first trailer to the movie, and all I have to say is wow!  This looks like it will be a great film!  Enjoy the first trailer below, and “Woodlawn” will come out on October 16th.  Learn more at:  http://www.WoodlawnMovie.com
