For two seasons now, King of the Nerds on TBS has brought us plenty of geeky and nerdy stuff!  The show features 12 contestants nerds who live together in “Nerdvana” and competes in challenges until one is crowned the winner. Robert Carradine and Curtis Armstrong from Revenge of the Nerds are hosts and executive producers of the show, and after the final challenge from season 2, which was a much better way to determine a winner by the way, everyone thought the show was done, nope!  Tonight, season 3 of King of the Nerds premieres on TBS!

KING OF THE NERDS

The show averaged 1.5 million viewers per episode and 1 million adults in the 18-49 age demo.  And the show has the youngest audience of any current TBS original!  During the competition, the contestants will face challenges that test their intellect, ingenuity, skills, and pop-culture prowess, with one named the quintessential master of all things nerdy and winning the $100,000 prize.  There are eight episodes for season three, and the season was filmed at Occidental College in California.  Which means, bigger challenges, a bigger area where the nerds can work, and a bigger throne room for the Throne of Games!

For season 3, we have sadly no body from the south!  I mean come on, they have several contestants coming from Colorado, California, Arizona, and the southwest and northeast.  But season 3 will have absolutely no one from the southeastern USA.  If the show does come back for season 4, I hope King of the Nerds will pick up some nerds/geeks from the southeast!  And yes, there will be plenty of great guest judges this season.  For episode one, the guest judges includes Adam Sadowsky, Michael McMillian, and Danica McKellar.  And the challenge will be making a Rube Goldberg machine!

Season 3 of King of the Nerds premieres at 8 pm Central on TBS.  Learn more about King of the Nerds at: http://www.tbs.com/shows/king-of-the-nerds/.  Follow on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/KingOfTheNerdsTBS and on Twitter @KingofNerdsTBS.
