Watch The PBS Newshour Piece About Ebola Partly Shot In Alabama

Picture1svfswv

Last night, the PBS Newshour aired a very interesting piece about the CDC and the efforts to stop the Ebola outbreak from spreading.  In the video below, you get to go inside the Emergency Operations Center at the CDC, the information hub where doctors and scientists are at the front lines of the effort to contain and control the Ebola virus.

The piece also includes what the CDC is doing to prepare nurses and doctors who are about to go to Africa. They came to Anniston and Fort McClellan to show how doctors and nurses are training to treat Ebola patients and ways to not be infected themselves.  The course these people take at Fort McClellan takes three days to complete, and up to 40 people are trained in each course.  The piece is reported by Kathleen McCleery, enjoy!
