Picture1sfvfvwe

Most people remember the classic cartoon series Schoolhouse Rock.  You remember those short cartoons shown on Saturday morning that was set to some catchy music.  And the best part, you learned something when you watched Schoolhouse Rock.  Now, ABC is about to air a special to rank the top Schoolhouse Rock songs.  For people who actually remember Schoolhouse Rock, and sorry, people under 20 years old will have no idea what I am talking about, what are you favorite songs?

In this post, I am going to highlight my five favorite Schoolhouse Rock songs.  And if you know me, you probably know some songs that I am going to like!

Conjunction Junction

Yep, it involves trains, and conjunctions in the English language.  I loved watching the conductor hooking up the train cars with words on them.  Conjunction Junction, what’s your function?

I’m Just A Bill

I think I’m Just A Bill is one of the best songs made for Schoolhouse Rock, and it taught the kids about how passing a bill in government works.  Yep, some politicians today should watch this to learn how government works.

My Hero, Zero

I liked this music video because it involves a kid, dressing up as a superhero, and saving the day by adding some zeroes.  I also like this video because this superhero was not perfect, and got into some bad situations that required some help!

Ready or Not, Here I Come

I really liked the tune to this song when I was a kid.  And this song was about multiplying by 5.  5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, and so on.  The best thing about this video was counting by 5 with our fingers!

Lolly, Lolly, Lolly, Get Your Adverbs Here

Set in a small store, this song taught the kids about adverbs.  Yep, I enjoyed the weird sounds in the song more than learning about adverbs!

Watch on Sunday September 7th at 6 pm Central as host Chandra Wilson will interview writers and creators from the series.  And most importantly, count down the most popular Schoolhouse Rock songs.  My question to you, which Schoolhouse songs are your favorite, if you remember them?
