Music Thursdays: Tony Lucca, Emily Hearn, Leah DeVon Kickstarters

This week on Music Thursdays, I am talking about three different Kickstarter projects from Georgia and Tennessee that feature artists raising funds to release their albums.  Let’s go!

Tony Lucca New Album

Tony Lucca has been featured on The Voice and learned a lot on that show.  Now Tony is running a Kickstarter to fund a full studio album!  Since parting ways from The Voice and Adam Levine, he has returned to his indie roots and he is finally getting back into the studio for his first full-length effort of original material in almost 4 years!  Making records is a magical thing.  Sometimes it’s scary, sometimes its easy. Sometimes it’s unimaginable, other times entirely frustrating. However, he feels he has recorded enough music to know what to do and what not to do at this point.

In his mind, every good record begins with great songs and a clear vision.  Fortunately for him, he has had enough time since his last full-length to put together more songs than he ever had going into the studio.  As well, having tried his hand at several different musical styles over the past few years, he has never been clearer about the direction he is heading in.  He has partnered with some incredible writers and players and he is more confident than he has probably ever been.  It’s with this sense of confidence and inspiration that he is reaching out to YOU, his friends, family and fans, to ask for your support.

As of April 10th, this project has raised around $25,936 of their $25,099 goal.  This project only has 26 days left to raise as much as it can!  For a pledge of $10, you will get a digital download of the full album.  For a pledge of $30, you will get a autographed physical copy of the album and a digital download of the album.  To learn more and to pledge money, go to: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/487415864/tony-luccas-new-full-length-studio-album

Make a Record with Emily Hearn

First, she wanted to tell you that she has missed you!  Her sweet husband, Michael and her have been traveling all over the country playing her music, seeing so many new faces, and experiencing so many new cities for the past 2 years!  Being a full time musician has always been her goal, and even though it has its tough moments, they really feel like they are living their dream. They have been able to completely support theirselves as independent artists, without a record label.  Although there are many positive aspects of being an independent artist, there are definitely down sides as well.  The main thing that holds her back when it comes to pursuing her career is finding the funding to make it all happen.

EVERYTHING in music is expensive, and as an up-and-coming artist, there aren’t many opportunities for her to make the kind of money that she needs to cover the extensive costs of making a record.  She has written a handful of new songs that are so very important to her and fully explain where she is in her life right now. She has been thinking and writing about love (as usual), but for this first time in awhile she has been writing about life, about growing up, about traveling, about friendships–and she loves singing about these things. She is so passionate about these songs, and she wants to turn them into a record!

As of April 10th, this project has raised around $9,031 of their $30,000 goal.  This project only has 36 days left to raise the $30,000 or it will not be funded!  For a pledge of $10, you will get a digital download of the album plus updates and a special thank you.  For a pledge of $25, you will get a physical copy of the album plus a special thank you.  To learn more and to pledge money, go to: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/emilyhearn/make-a-record-with-emily-hearn-30k-in-40-days?ref=discovery

The Victory Is Mine By Leah DeVon

Hey Everyone! She is so incredibly excited to be recording new music.  Her life is coming full circle and she is grateful for that.  God has truly blessed her and she is ready to write and sing about it.  She has decided to record an EP instead of a full-length album.  She is doing this because she wants to release a music video for the inspirational first single The Victory Is Mine, co-written by Michera Clark and herself.  It’s essential to have a budget to promote the music video the right way.  After two independent releases, she hopes you’ll join her in making this very special project a reality.

All of the songs on this EP are positive, uplifting, and encouraging.  She believes that music is one of the most influential teachers of all of us, including our children.  Positive music can impact someones life in a powerful way.  Three of the songs are written and ready to be recorded.  She is thrilled to have this wonderful Kickstarter platform to introduce herself and her music to you.  Thanks so much for taking the time to view her campaign.

As of April 10th, this project has raised around $328 of their $10,000 goal.  This project only has 35 days left to raise the $10,000 or it will not be funded!  For a pledge of $10, you will get a digital download of the entire EP, special bonus track, lyrics to all the songs, and a personal video thank you.  For a pledge of $30, you will get a copy of her “Come Over” album, handwritten thank you card, and everything in the $10 level!  To learn more and to pledge money, go to: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/646656088/the-victory-is-mine-kickstart-your-dream
