Tonight, to remember Martin Luther King Jr. Day, I wanted to present this video from the New York State Education Department. The department uncovered a lost recording made by Dr. King back in 1962. This speech was delivered by Dr. King to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln’s Preliminary Emancipation Proclamation. The video/speech is around 26 minutes long, but it’s worth watching and hearing!
The department also put together a great webpage about Dr. King at: http://www.nysm.nysed.gov/mlk/index.html
