Vote For Somewhere In New Jersey In The Shameless Film Festival

Shameless is an American television comedy-drama which airs on Showtime. This remake of the award-winning British series is set in Chicago’s Canaryville neighborhood on the South Side.  The series depicts the dysfunctional family of Frank Gallagher, a single father of six children.  While he spends his days drunk, his kids learn to take care of themselves.  The season four premiere is this Sunday, but you can watch it right now by watching the video below!

To get people excited for the season premiere, Showtime is running the Shameless Film Festival Contest.  There are 85 videos submitted and the filmmakers had to create a 30 second to 2 minute video profiling a true or fictional person that embodies a truly “Shameless” personality.  Voting in this contest ends on Thursday January 9th, and the video with the most votes gets $10,000!

I got a e-mail from Schlepp Films where their video called “Somewhere In New Jersey” is a finalist in this contest!  Their short comedy film is among the top ten finalists and they are eagerly anticipating good news from the Showtime Producers.  They are also currently in 2nd place for the Viewer’s Choice Voting Award.  Please help them tip the scales to win the voting contest!  They are hoping to secure funding to help bring future productions to fruition.

To vote, click on the link below and give their video a Facebook ‘Like’ next to the video player.  Voting closes on Thursday January 9th at 11:59 pm Eastern.  Thanks to Schlepp Films for sending me the e-mail!  http://www.shamelessfilmfest.com/videos/somewhere-in-new-jersey
