Tonight is the night!  Tonight on ESPN, Florida State will meet Auburn for the BCS National Championship and the crystal ball!  If you live in Alabama or Florida, you should have no excuse not watching this game tonight!  Just about every ESPN network is going to have coverage of this game!  ESPN is bringing back their “Full Circle” concept where you get different aspects of the game on each ESPN network.

ESPN will broadcast the normal game with Brent Musburger and Kirk Herbstreit calling the game.  Heather Cox (Florida State) and Tom Rinaldi (Auburn) will also be reporting from the sidelines.  ESPN2 will have BCS Title Talk which will provide casual and organic conversations of ESPN personalities, coaches, players and celebrities.  People scheduled to appear includes Johnny Manziel, Tajh Boyd, James Franklin, Snoop Dogg, Rece Davis, Paul Finebaum, Lou Holtz, Todd McShay, Jesse Palmer, David Pollack and Tim Tebow.  ESPN Goal Line will have a split screen with live action and immediate replays of every play.  They will have live statistics on the screen and the ESPN Radio call from Mike Tirico and Todd Blackledge.

ESPN Classic will have Sounds of the BCS, which captures sound from the 72 microphones ESPN will have for the BCS Megacast production.  The telecast will combine ESPN’s game coverage with the audio within the stands, field and in-stadium sound system. This channel will also show the halftime performances of the Florida State and Auburn marching bands.  And ESPN3 will offer the game with the radio calls from Auburn and Florida State’s broadcasts.  Plus they will have BCS Campus Connection, which will show live fan reactions from watch parties in Auburn, Alabama and Tallahassee, Florida.

Let me just remind you, I was one of the very few media folks in Alabama who picked Auburn to win the mother of all Iron Bowls with a final score of 30-27.  The final Iron Bowl score was 34-28, so I was in the ballpark!  Florida State and QB Jameis Winston will be on a roll tonight.  One, because he is coming off winning the Heisman Trophy.  And two, him and the rest of the team have torn apart every opponent this season winning by high margins.  For Auburn, QB Nick Marshall has had a great throwing and rushing season!  Auburn is on a big roll due to those two amazing plays against Georgia and Alabama inside Jordan-Hare Stadium.  And if you have noticed, both Alabama and Georgia are the only two SEC teams in the bowl season to lose their bowl games.

My prediction, this will be a high scoring game!  Both teams are going to pound the ball down to the ground and score a lot of touchdowns!  Both offenses are not going to be denied into the endzone.  The game is going to come down to who can make that big stop on defense, which defense can turn over that ball in the right time to score, and is there another amazing and crazy play the Auburn fans are used too.

My pick is for the Auburn Tigers to win the 2014 BCS National Championship by a final score of 45-42.  This game is going to be an action packed touchdown fest!  I believe the Auburn Tigers have more players on both sides of the ball to get the job done.  Florida State has not been tested because they have not played anyone tough with a small exception to Clemson.  I think the power behind the SEC will extend the SEC streak to eight championships in a row and the state of Alabama streak to five championships in a row!  One thing is for sure, tonight is going to be exciting!
