The Evening Post: Amazon Prime Air Drone Delivery

Geek Alabama Evening Post

If you watched 60 Minutes last night, you saw the future of delivery from Amazon.  Amazon Prime Air is something the team has worked on in their next generation R&D lab. The goal of this new delivery system is to get packages into customers hands in 30 minutes or less using unmanned aerial vehicles.  Putting Prime Air into commercial use will take some number of years as they advance technology and wait for the necessary FAA rules and regulations. The footage below is from a recent test flight.  Learn more about this at:

If you missed the 60 Minutes piece where Charlie Rose interviews Amazon CEO and founder Jeff Bezos.  Watch the entire piece below, it was a good story!

And it could be worse, Amazon drones could be taking over mankind, this fake flyer was funny!

This was an interesting topic that stood out to me in my Intro to Public Relations class. Amazon having drones deliver goods by air. So many aspects of this idea could go wrong, especially in today’s time. Good thing they are speaking in a sense of 4 to 5 years instead of a few months. This would be a idea that has to be thought out THOROUGHLY. The first wrong delivery, packages being stollen, or even a drone be stolen is a public crisis Amazon would have to deal with.
