We see it in the night sky each night, it’s the moon! We can see the moon at night because light from the sun is reflecting off of the moon. But do you ever wonder what would happen if one of the other planets in the solar system replaced the moon? Artist Ron Miller replaced the Moon with 7 other planets, keeping them at the same distance as the Moon is from the Earth (which is around 240,000 miles), and did not alter the size proportions of the planets. Here are the pictures!
But that’s not all! There are a couple of YouTube videos showing you how the different planets would look in the sky. The YouTube channel yetipc1 put out two videos showing you, during the day and night, what would happen if the planets replaced the moon.
Here is another YouTube video from the channel Pakiavelli showing you the planets in the night sky replacing the moon!
And one more video from Pakiavelli, what if the planet Saturn was Earth’s Moon? How would Saturn’s rings be seen around the world. Very cool stuff!
