Music Thursdays: Geeky Songs of the 1990’s

Geek Alabama Music Thursdays

Remember some of the great music of the 1990’s?  I decided to make this edition of Music Thursdays as a tribute to some of the geeky and nerdy songs from the 90’s decade!  So sit back and enjoy some memories as the geek and nerd culture was just getting off its feet!  Here are my top 10 geeky songs of the 1990’s!

Soundgarden – Black Hole Sun

I loved this song as a kid, the people acted very weird until being sucked up by the black hole sun!

Weezer – Buddy Holly

I loved the music in this song.  I also loved how this song was set in the classic sitcom Happy Days!

Collective Soul – Shine

I liked the rock vibe in this song!  The music video had some geeky vibes and it was like a monster / vampire theme.

Red Hot Chili Peppers – Under The Bridge

I felt like the music video was very geeky.  The guy dressed as Waldo playing the guitar sold me!

Fastball – The Way

I liked the music video in the song.  The music had a mix of TV and other songs which would make geeks happy!

Smash Mouth – Walkin’ On The Sun

Hey, geeks and nerds love astronomy!  The music in this song also felt very geeky and that’s why I like it!

Blind Melon – No Rain

I choose this song because many geeks and nerds love to dress up.  Sometimes we are laughed at by others.

The Presidents of the USA – Lump

This song was picked because the music was so geek!  These musicians did know how to turn geeks and nerds on!

Faith No More – Epic

This song was chosen because of the music and the dancing in the music video from the musicians.  Geeky!

Nirvana – Smells Like Teen Spirit

Quite arguably the best song of the 1990’s.  Hey, would any geeks and nerds want to attend a horror high school!
