My Computer And Job Hopes Are Down Folks!

Sorry for the lack of posts.  On Thursday evening my computer’s hard drive crashed!  Yes it sounds bad but I was smart to back up my important files using Dropbox!  I am writing this post from the library and I want to talk about an article I read on CNN.  Here is the link:

http://money.cnn.com/2013/01/04/news/economy/hopelessly-unemployed-workers

This article is about the 3 million who are hopelessly unemployed.  I wrote a comment and it read:

Really folks. The unemployment rate is through the roof. I have been unemployed for 18 months. I have applied to over 100 jobs and went to 14 job fairs in the last year with no hope. I believe employers like to discriminate against people who are different. People who are old, disabled, or young are often passed up by people who look “perfect.” I have Asperger’s Syndrome and I believe that is a factor in why I am unemployed even though I tell no one about it. I know of another person who is missing a lot of teeth and he has been unemployed for three years.

I think employers needs to quit looking for the “perfect” person for the job. There is nothing wrong hiring someone who is young, old, or disabled. I do believe employers are slowing ruining this country because they want everyone to look “perfect.” And for the ones who look different, they rather see you on the streets.

It did not take very long for people to write in some very bad comments about me.  Some people said:

You obviously have enough money to eat……………….You appear to be quite well fed. Save up $$$. Eat less Snickers.

Don’t take away his snickers… he’ll turn into Joe Pesci

Get a job, loser.

So MOVE.

You can probably try ur hand at TV like Honey Boo Boo

Sell your computer and move somewhere that you can get a job

They look for the perfect person because the internet now makes it possible for 400 applications to come in for 1 position. They’re not going to stop until something mitigates this problem. It’s just psychology.

But not impossible. Look at North Dakota for work, they will pay you to move there. You just have to deal with less than ideal conditions, and you’d have to work hard. Your other option is treating CNN articles about unemployment like a therapy session.

I did the whole move to another part of the country where jobs are at.  Sure, when I went to Wyoming there were jobs, but there are no places to live.  I was only hired at a Applebee’s and a Popeye’s Chicken.  After that I moved on again because no one would hire me!  North Dakota has a HUGE housing shortage.  But yes, there are plenty of jobs.

Where I live in Anniston Alabama over 300 people were laid off during the Christmas Holidays.  And the future of other workers at places such as the Anniston Army Depot is in doubt!  I wish there were jobs where I live but sadly there isn’t any.  And I have gone to the Birmingham Metro and no one would hire me either.  Bad comments like the ones above is a reason why this country is going down the drain!

On Saturday; I am coming out with a special post which I want you to read. Until then, I will be working on getting my computer hard drive fixed!  It’s not the end of the world as we know it.  Is it?
