11 Days Left Until Christmas
Today is a horrible day in America. A shooter has killed 28 people including 20 children at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, CT. This will turn out to be the worse school shooting in U.S. history. Please pray for the victims!
At the North Pole:
Some days we have to witness terrifying news somewhere around the world. And Santa and the elves at the North Pole keep up with the horrible news that does happen. When Santa Claus hears the news of multiple kids being killed by someone, he gets sad. He was preparing to deliver great toys to all the boys and girls who were killed. He feels bad for the kids who were killed way too early! And he does send his prayers to the victims and their families.
Christmas Song:
After a horrible event like this. The song Silent Night is very appropriate! Silent Night was first performed on Christmas Eve 1818 at the St Nicholas parish church in Oberndorf bei Salzburg. The melody was composed by Franz Xaver Gruber, schoolmaster and organist in the nearby village of Arnsdorf. Before Christmas Eve, Mohr brought the words to Gruber and asked him to compose a melody and guitar accompaniment for the church service. Both performed the carol during the mass on the night of December 24.
