On Saturday I went to Linn Park in downtown Birmingham for the 10th annual Fiesta Birmingham. This festival is Alabama’s largest celebration of Hispanic culture and heritage and you definitely saw it at this festival. And the goal of this festival is to educate the public about the many different Hispanic countries and their cultures. The admission fees are used for a scholarship fund for Hispanic students. The Home Depot handed out tote bags to everyone which was nice and handy. And they had a kids workshop where kids got to build things and paint them. Many Hispanic interests were present at this festival to provide information on things related to Hispanics like the H.B. 56 bill. (Which I hate!) Many vendors provided lots of great Mexican and Hispanic foods for the people to try. And the main stage had plenty of great music acts and dancing! The weather was perfect for a great festival!
Here is a video I did showing some great Spanish dancing!
