Animation Talk Stuff

Animation Monday: Favorite Cartoons

One of my favorite things to do is watch cartoons on TV!  Yes I know I am about to turn 26 but I have always been an animation fan.  Animation takes a lot of work from the ideas to the animating to the episode you see on TV.  So what are currently my favorite animated TV shows?  Here is my top 10 favorite cartoons that is currently airing on TV.

The Legend of Korra

The spin-off from Avatar: The Last Airbender was filled with great action in Book One: Air and it did very well ratings wise.  Book Two: Spirits is currently in production and I can’t wait to see it!

Star Wars: The Clone Wars

This show from the Star Wars series is set to run for its final season this fall.  But I have enjoyed this series as it gives me that sci-fi animation fix that no one else currently delivers on TV.

Phineas and Ferb

I am still a fan of this show.  By watching Phineas and Ferb you can get a great mix of story-lines in each episode.  Who can not resist seeing a platypus fighting evil.  Or two step-brothers creating the most imaginative things you will ever see.

Gravity Falls

This show on Disney Channel has not aired many episodes yet but I have really enjoyed this show.  The mysteries of the town, the characters, and the clever writing makes this a great show to watch!

Adventure Time

This show always comes up with some of the weirdest things to talk about in each episode.  How many times on TV do you see talking candy, clever writing, and imaginative topics in each episode.

Family Guy

This show has the craziest cut-aways in each episode that always makes me smile.  This show also has great writing and does tackle some interesting topics in our society.

Futurama

This show set in the year 3000 always makes the geeks and nerds feel right at home with all of that cool technology.  The show also has great writing as well and it’s a joy to watch.

Robot Chicken

This stop motion animated show is a cult classic!  I love this show because the writers and animators are not afraid of making fun of society.  Plus I love all of the animated blood and violence you see in the show.

Dan Vs.

This clever show on The Hub has great writing and mysteries on what Dan’s latest grudge against society is.  Everyone has something they hate and by watching this show you can see how wrong it is to harm something you hate.

Aqua Teen Hunger Force

Who would have fought a show featuring a shake, french fries, and a wad of meat would be so successful.  But the clever writing and laughs is something I love about this show.  Each season has a new name of the show.  Right now the show is called Aqua Something You Know Whatever.

Honorable Mentions: The Simpsons, My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, Bob’s Burgers, SpongeBob SquarePants, South Park, Archer.
