On Saturday the Boys and Girls Club of Northeast Alabama held the Great Alabama Duck Race. Thousands of rubber ducks were dumped from the Broad St. bridge in Gadsden. And with the help of several jet-skis and boats. The rubber ducks were guided down the Coosa River to the buoys under the I-759 bridge. Enjoy the photos and video of this great fundraiser!
The winning ducks flow into a tube in the middle of the buoy. The rest of the ducks are then scooped up and put into boats.
At the end of the race; all of the rubber ducks are put back into the boxes until next year!
