Music Thursdays: The Top Songs For Single People

Geek Alabama Music Thursdays

Valentine’s Day Singles Awareness Day is on Friday, and that means flower shops, candy stores, bakeries, and stores are busy making and delivering the pretty flowers and chocolate to their loved ones.  Tomorrow, restaurants and other romantic places are going to be slammed.  But what about the ones who are still single and not dating?  Maybe you have never dated in your life, or you just went through a breakup.  Valentine’s Day is a day when you grab a frozen pizza or fast food for dinner, and sit on your couch and watch some sports, at least the Winter Olympics are on!

For someone like me, who is 27 years old and has never dated in his life, Valentine’s Day is a day where I am going to sit back and enjoy life at my apartment.  And I will go out on the next morning to grab some discount Valentine’s Day candy!  This Music Thursdays post is for the single people out there who will have nothing fun to do on Valentine’s Day.  I have complied a list of the top 10 songs for single people!  Sit back, and enjoy the fact that you are still single this year.  Who knows, next year, you might be rushing down to get those flowers and candy!

Valentine’s At Waffle House

There is a new tradition that has taken off down in the south.  Yes you can have your date at Waffle House.  On Valentine’s Day night or Singles Awareness Day.  You and your spouse can head down to Waffle House where there will be a table cloth; candles; cloth napkins; dim lights; music; and your classic diner food.  And this has gotten very popular.  If I ever did this; that is if I ever date.  I would certainly try this.

Me and a spouse would get two steak dinners with hash browns.  Then we would share a waffle and a pie.  While we watched our food being made we would listen to love music from the jukebox at the restaurant.  And we would sip on some champagne that is alcohol free.  This would be a really good night.  Then we would head down to a Sonic Drive-In for some ice cream.  Sadly the Waffle House’s in this area were not doing this.  But here is a video on what happens at some Waffle House’s on Valentine’s Day night.

And when I think of love and dating; I think of this song from Phineas and Ferb called the Evil Love song.  I was humming this song all day on Valentine’s.
