Guess what, the Summer 2015 movie season is now here!  That means more superhero, disaster, Minion fun is heading your way to your local movie theater!  There are plenty of movies I am interested in, but there are 12 movies I really want to see this Summer.  So this post will list the top 12 movies everyone should see this Summer, let’s go!

Avengers: Age of Ultron – May 1st

I mean, come on.  Name a movie this year that will make more money at the box office than the Avengers 2 movie?  I’m waiting.  This movie has already smashed box office record overseas before its Untied States debut.  Expect to see a lot of people packing into theaters to see this one!  You are required to see this movie!

Jurassic World – June 12th

Have we learned our lesson?  Never step foot inside a park or island filled with dinosaurs who wants to eat you.  What’s the worse that can happen?  Yep, we will get to see another movie about what happens when humans and dinosaurs meet each other.  See the dinosaur / human carnage this Summer!

Inside Out – June 19th

So, what happens inside the mind of a young girl growing up?  Pixar is going to bring us their most mature family animated movie to date.  Judging by the trailers, expect this one to be a tearjerker to the parents out there raising kids. As for the kids, they get to enjoy another animated movie.

Minions – July 10th

I love the Despicable Me movies!  And this movie is going to be a little different.  It will tell the story of the Minions, those cute yellow creatures that people love making funny photos about them on social media.  This will be that movie the kids will be dragging their parents to see.  Of course the kids will love this, I hope the adults like it too!

Pixels – July 24th

Yea, it’s a disaster movie, no Summer can be complete without one!  This movie will be a fan favorite with the geeks and nerds and will feature 1980’s video game characters destroying Earth.  The question is this?  Can Adam Sandler and Kevin James save Earth, or will the video games rule?

San Andreas – May 29th

I’d admit, I love to be the loser in those disaster flicks.  I mean, I want to see buildings destroyed, people killed, and the Earth blowing up.  I love to see the bad things happen, and in this movie, can The Rock save the West coast from total destruction, I hope he fails!

Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation – July 31st

Tom Cruise does a great job in those Mission: Impossible movies.  And this Summer, we can see him again kicking some butt.  Every Summer needs a good action movie, and this one will feature plenty of cool action scenes!

Tomorrowland – May 22nd

Brad Bird, the guy behind The Incredibles, is going to take us into the future designed by Disney.  Of course, we all think that time traveling is all cool, but this is Disney.  And they want to make sure there are bad lessons for the kids.  Time traveling is not cool!  And George Clooney is going to save the kids!

Ant-Man – July 17th

So, I hope Ant-Man will do well.  As you know, Marvel has been on an insane money grabbing roll.  We all know the new Avengers movie will do insanely well, but will this movie about Paul Rudd interacting with ants in a superhero suit do well?  We will see!

Fantastic Four – August 7th

Yes, it’s another superhero movie.  The Fantastic Four have not done well in the box office in the past due to some pretty bad movies.  So, will director Josh Trank rescue this franchise, or will the Fantastic Four only live on in the comic books?

Mad Max: Fury Road – May 15th

Us folks in the South enjoys our cars and weapons.  Prepare to be blown away when  director George Miller brings us some vehicular mayhem and plenty of explosions.  The multiple explosions will be worth the price of the ticket!

Poltergeist – May 22nd

Rounding out this list is a movie only for adults.  This is why this is last on the 2015 list!  Take a break from those superhero and action movies and go get scared!  I mean, you will be scared while I set and enjoy people being killed while munching on some popcorn.  If you need something different to see, see this haunted movie!
