Advertisements

On this edition of Animation Monday, I am including a list of my top 10 Halloween cartoons that I have seen.  Most cartoons have introduced a Halloween special in their series.  I mean, The Simpsons have their Halloween specials nailed down!  But, there are other classic and current Halloween cartoons that I have watched, and enjoyed!  So, here are my top 10 Halloween cartoons!

It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown

No doubt, this Charlie Brown cartoon is probably the most famous and popular Halloween cartoon.  I look forward in watching It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown every year!

The Simpsons Treehouse Of Horror

Every year, we get to enjoy three new Halloween shorts on The Simpsons Treehouse of Horror, I look forward to this every year too!

The Nightmare Before Christmas

This Tim Burton stop motion movie is the most popular animated Halloween movie that most people has to watch every year.  And the best part, this movie works for Halloween and Christmas!

Halloween is Grinch Night

The Grinch hates Christmas, but he loves Halloween!  Just like in the very popular Christmas cartoon, The Grinch makes Max pull a large cart and soon, The Grinch learns the true meaning of Halloween, enjoy below, while it’s still up on YouTube.

The Duxorcist

Looney Tunes has a couple of Halloween cartoons, but I think this one staring Daffy Duck in Daffy Duck’s Quackbusters, featuring a lady duck undergoing some monster changes, is the best!

The Halloween Tree

Cartoon Network and Hanna-Barbera made this great Halloween movie featuring the voice of Leonard Nimoy!  This movie is special because it tells some of the origins of this great holiday!

Garfield’s Halloween Adventure

Garfield has a great Halloween special, if you like Garfield, Odie, and a lot of pirates, you will enjoy this special, and of course Garfield wants the candy!

Toy Story Of Terror!

This Halloween special premiered last year, and Pixar did a good job!  What happens when toys disappear, and you have to overcome your fears, you need to watch this special!

Phineas And Ferb Night of the Living Pharmacists

Phineas and Ferb have plenty of Halloween episodes, but this one parodying Shaun Of The Dead was just perfect, lots of Doof-zombies!

My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic – Luna Eclipsed

Since Geek Alabama is media partners with Hasbro, I am including a great Halloween episode called Luna Eclipsed.  It features spooky things, learning to be around others, and plenty of trick and treating and costumes!

So, there are my top 10 Halloween cartoons, do you have your favorite?  Leave a comment below!
