It’s that time of the year again for Sonic’s Limeades For Learning.  Each year, Sonic Drive-In provides funds to schools all across America, and the funds are determined by you the voters!  Limeades for Learning is a national initiative of Sonic, America’s Drive-In to support U.S. public school teachers in local communities. In partnership with DonorsChoose.org, SONIC will provide essential funds needed for learning materials and innovative teaching techniques to inspire creativity and learning in today’s youth.

From September 22nd to October 26th, people can go to the Limeades For Learning website and vote for their favorite project.  People can also donate directly to their favorite project found on the website.  And after taking a look at the website, there are a lot of projects from Alabama, I mean a lot!

Limeades

The reason you see many projects on their site is simple, each year, teachers spend up to $1 billion annually out of their own pockets for basic supplies and learning materials for students.  Yes, teachers buy simple things like pencils, paper, tissues, paper towels, chalk, and more!  The Limeades For Learning program is here to make sure all students goes without because of a lack of resources.  Each week, Sonic will fund $100,000 to the top voted projects on the website.

So, if you want to help out teachers, especially teachers in Alabama who have had to deal with budget cutbacks, vote and donate now!  To vote and to learn more, go to:  https://www.limeadesforlearning.com/
