PancakeBot Is Pancake Printing To Make Breakfast Cooler

Sorry to make you hungry, but I saw something that is very cool!  Designer Miguel Valenzuela created the PancakeBot, which is a robot that draws intricately designed pancakes.  The current design of the device consists of an acrylic body, an Arduino Mega, and two Adafruit Motor Shields, vacuum pump for batter control and of course a griddle. The initial version of the device was made out of LEGO blocks.  The new version of the machine was featured at the Bay Area Maker Faire on May 17th-18th.

Miguel continues to improve upon the design while living in Norway and is using PancakeBot in after school programs to teach kids about engineering, robot building and programming, and eating pancakes.  Here is a video of what the PancakeBot is all about!  Also, there is an animated video called the Breakfast Gallop that took 7 days, 50 pancakes, and lots of reworking.
