Help The Calhoun/Cleburne Children’s Center This Christmas Season

I got this letter from Calhoun County Sheriff Larry Amerson. This is a special fundraiser to raise funds for the Calhoun/Cleburne Children’s Center. All orders for this fundraiser must be in by Friday December 13th by calling 256-238-0902. Here’s the letter.

To the citizens of Calhoun and Cleburne Counties:

At a season when the world celebrates the birth of a child, let us all join together to save every child.

As Sheriff of Calhoun County, and president of the board of directors for the Calhoun/Cleburne Children’s Center, I am very aware of the services provided by the Children’s Center to child abuse victims and their families. The Children’s Center is celebrating its 22nd anniversary in 2013. The center is a non-profit organization formed to help child victims of sexual and physical abuse. Since 1991, multidisciplinary agencies have worked together at the Children’s Center to stop child abuse. Child abuse victims receive free therapy and also provide important information to therapists so those who are harming children in our area can be identified, arrested, and prosecuted.

This Christmas season, the Children’s Center is preparing christmas Cards to send to your loved ones and associates. Each one of these cards has a Christmas Holiday CD enclosed with 12 traditional Christmas songs. The card will indicate you have made a donation to the Children’s Center in tribute to the card’s recipient. This is a great way to let those special people in your life know you are thinking about them and you wish them a Merry Christmas. All of this while helping to fight child abuse and helping in the healing process of children who are child abuse victims.

Below, you see a brochure which explains how you can make a charitable contribution to the Calhoun/Cleburne Children’s Center and to whom we should send the cards. When you make a donation to the Children’s Center fight against child abuse, a card will be sent in tribute to the individuals you designate. Each card will identify you as the donor for their tribute. Please respond by Friday December 13th to ensure your Christmas cards arrive on time.
