A family in East Alabama is in a contest to win a $30,000 makeover for Corley Elementary School’s cafeteria, an appearance on the Rachael Ray Show, and $15,000 for the family. Claire, Jason, and Rachel Noles from Boaz Alabama is one of three finalists for the Ben’s Beginners Cooking Contest, from Uncle Ben’s. The contest aims at getting children to make healthier eating choices at early ages and throughout life.
The Noles are one of three finalists for the grand prize! Over 1,000 videos were submitted for this contest, which asked for a rice-based dish using Uncle Ben’s products. The family has already traveled to New York City to make a appearance on The Rachael Ray Show. And if they win this contest, they will be featured on the show! The winner is chosen by the number of votes cast at the Uncle Ben’s website. You can vote once every 24 hours and voting is open through Sunday December 8th.
