Product Review: Rebel Mouse

Geek Alabama Product Reviews

I know many people are active on social media these days!  For me Nathan Young, I have active accounts on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Google Plus, About.Me, YouTube, and Foursquare.  Yep, I keep busy online keeping people informed and entertained!  So when someone sent me a link to Rebel Mouse, I was curious to see what this was all about!  Here is a video from the YouTube channel Barry Cunningham showing you how to set up your Rebel Mouse page.

Rebel Mouse is a new web service by former Huffington Post CTO Paul Berry, it wants to be the front page to your life on the internet.  Rebel Mouse aims to be your main hangout online by offering a free aggregation service that pulls together your social media feeds into a single, unified view.  It’s very simple to put together, after you sign up, you will be taken to a page like this.  This is my Rebel Mouse page.

The front page looks like a digital newspaper or a Pinterest board.  Rebel Mouse now allows custom headers and you can add special pages that will only show feeds from one source or a link to another website like Geek Alabama!  The front page only features stuff put on your social media accounts by you!  Whenever you put a status update, link, photo, video, or anything else on your social media accounts.  Rebel Mouse will pull your updates from the feeds you set up and display them on your front page.  And don’t worry about updating your Rebel Mouse, it automatically updates!

On your Rebel Mouse, you can set up multiple Twitter accounts, your Facebook, Instagram, Flickr, Google Plus, LinkedIn, and StockTwits.
