Animation Monday: Animated Movie Dads

In honor of Father’s Day, I have written a post highlighting some of the top animated movie dads! You probably know some of these animated movie dads below. They are caring for their families, and really do care for their kids. These fathers would do anything to make sure their kids are successful! Bob Parr – Mr. Incredible

What does a superhero do when he is forced to retire? Simple, get married and raise a family! Bob Parr’s superhero name is Mr. Incredible but he is also incredible with his kids! He plays sports with his son, spends some time together with his daughter, and loves his baby! Mr. Incredible is on the top of many lists for the best dad out there! I just wish Pixar would come out with a Incredibles 2 movie!

Geppetto – Pinocchio

This film was released way back in 1940! But this movie still has plenty of life lessons that applies to today’s world! Geppetto worked on a wooden marionette whom he names Pinocchio. Before falling asleep, Geppetto makes a wish on a star that Pinocchio could be a real boy. Pinocchio comes alive but must prove himself to be brave, truthful, and unselfish and must be able to tell right from wrong by listening to his conscience in order to become a real boy. After a crazy adventure, the fairy let’s Pinocchio become a real boy and this makes Geppetto happy!

Marlin – Finding Nemo

This clownfish raised his one son named Nemo in an overly protective way. Then when Nemo gets abducted Marlin goes on an adventure to find his son. And he learns along the way to let his son experience things and take risks. The Finding Nemo movie is still loved by many today! Can’t wait to see Finding Dory in 2015!

Pongo – 101 Dalmatians

Pongo has the almost impossible job of raising a bunch of puppy dalmatians! He got his master Roger to start dating and that is when they both met Anita and Perdita. After Roger and Anita gets married, Perdita has 15 puppies but they get stolen by Cruella de Vil. Pongo and Perdita goes on an adventure to find their kids and they stumble upon 99 dalmatian puppies. With 101 dalmatians in total, Roger and Anita moves to a farm and Pongo and Perdita has to raise 99 puppies! Pongo has been busy for sure!

Mufasa – The Lion King

This lion from The Lion King who raised his son Simba was very strict and was a very good father figure. When Simba disobeyed his father; he didn’t punish or harm his son. He showed his son a great life lesson. It would come in handy when Mufasa was killed after rescuing Simba due to Scar’s actions. But Mufasa was a great influence to Simba and he went on to become a great father himself!

Shrek

Shrek was originally a single guy loving life in his swamp home. Sure he had to fight off some people who wanted him dead. But after meeting Fiona, they get married and decided to raise a family as ogres in a swamp. Shrek is going to be a very busy guy raising three ogre babies while loving his wife and fighting off the people who wants him dead. But I think Shrek can handle it!
