A major convention is happening in Nashville Tennessee this weekend!  The Middle Tennessee Anime Convention is an annual convention that produces events related to Anime, Manga, and relevant Popular Arts, providing enthusiasts and the public at large with a forum for patronage and education thereof.  Established in 1999, MTAC has been a steadily growing annual event based in Nashville, Tennessee.  This year, MTAC is being dubbed as the Devil’s Dozen, since this is the 13th edition of this convention.  MTAC 2013 will celebrate the occult and the supernatural in anime, manga and Japanese popular culture.  Not to mention all the great guests, music, events, panels, cosplay and contests you’ve come to expect. You can expect something wicked at MTAC in 2013!

So are you wondering what to expect at MTAC 2013?  First off, there are some awesome guests appearing this year!  Some of the guests includes Chris Caso, Jennifer Cihi, Todd Haberkorn, Brittney Karbowski, Jonathan Klein, Monica Rial and many more!  Some of the bands and artists attending includes Eric Stuart, Panelle, Eric Stuart Band, The Slants, Powerglove, Gelatine, DJ Initial P, DJ Debonair, and others!  Martial artists Daniel and Jillian Coglan are scheduled to attend as well as Scott Christian Sava.  To learn the entire guest list go to: http://mtac.net/?n=guests

At MTAC 2013, there are a variety of tracks for all ages!  There’s a music track featuring music in the anime fandom along with a variety of artists.  There is a Otaku track for die-hard anime fans.  There’s a culture track featuring topics ranging from language to swordsmanship, from food to religion, and more!  There is also tracks featuring digital and analog gaming, costuming, art and more!  There is even an 18+ adult track featuring late night programming for adults of the convention, with events inspired by Japanese culture and anime fandom.  Learn more about the tracks at: http://mtac.net/?n=programming

The 2013 ball will be themed off the popular TV show My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic.  The Grand Galloping Gala will be the finest, most magical night in Equestria!  You can wear your fanciest fashions and join them for an evening of dancing, tasty treats, games and all of your favorite ponies.  Also, there will be a Cosplay Contest, AMV Contest, Charity Auction with lots of great items for bid, Japanese Fashion Show, Ramen Noodle Eating Contest, Rave: Live from Hell, and other great events!

The Middle Tennessee Anime Convention 2013 will be held from March 29-31 at the Nashville Convention Center and Renaissance Nashville Hotel in downtown Nashville.
