The Evening Post: British Batman Saves The Day

Geek Alabama Evening Post

I love seeing stories where average citizens save the day!   A man dressed as Batman showed up in the British city of Bradford last week to turn in a bad criminal at a police station.  The Batman in question walked into Bradford’s Trafalgar House police station on February 25 to deposit a man wanted for questioning on suspicion of handling stolen goods and fraud-related offenses, according to a statement from the West Yorkshire police.

The West Yorkshire police said from their Facebook page that Batman came into the helpdesk, stated to the staff “I’ve caught this one for you” and then promptly vanished into the night to fight crime and the fear of crime in Bradford.  The whole bizarre incident was captured on CCTV… The wanted male, a 27yr old from the Buttershaw area was detained until the morning when he was escorted to court in Grimsby as he was also wanted for an offence in that area also.  This post is meant as a bit of a light hearted news.

Go Batman; glad you saved the day again!  By the way; his real name is Stan Worby, 39.  And he is a takeaway delivery driver.
