This is week 27 in my series of Shape Up! The weekly post on what I did over the last week in my quest to getting healthier.
So let’s start of with this news. Calhoun County Alabama had a HUGE jump in the unemployment rate in June. The rate jumped from 7.9% in May to 9.2% in June. The most likely culprit is probably the number of people getting laid off from the Anniston Army Depot. Calhoun County had one of the biggest unemployment jumps in the entire country last month! And this now means my chances of finding a job in the Anniston/Oxford area just got even more slimmer. There are around 5,000 people in Calhoun County that are counted being unemployed including me. So I am still hoping something will change on the job front soon.
Otherwise, the last week I have been doing some walking and not eating much. On one day I just had some homemade bread and that was it. I am only doing this to save some money right now. I know you should be eating several small meals throughout the day to lose weight properly. But no one out there is willing to hire me right now. And I am still on the endless search for my 14th job in 6 1/2 years. (getting close to 7 years)
Have you heard of the Chik-Fil-A controversy. They came out and said they are “guilty as charged” in promoting family values. And they do not support homosexuality and people who choose to be gay. My problem with this is God and the Bible tells you to love anyone no matter what they believe in. I found this video showing you a copycat recipe of the Chik-Fil-A original chicken sandwich. I might have to try making this.
Here is what I ate last week:
Saturday: Hotpockets, Sweet tea, Frozen yogurt.
Sunday: Fajitas, Sweet tea.
Monday: Personal pizza, Sweet tea.
Tuesday: Hamburgers, Sweet tea.
Wednesday: Watermelon, Bread.
Friday: Personal Pizza, Bread.
Before I go here is a picture of the types of people who say they have a problem on how their bodies look. We all should celebrate our bodies and God’s creation no matter what is wrong with our bodies. Have a good week everyone!
