On Friday night I went to the NW Georgia Hot Air Balloon Festival at Chattooga High School in Summerville, GA. Many vendors were there selling goods. But the best part was the hot air balloons. They did blow up the huge balloons and got them ready but they did not launch
. But they were still pretty cool to look at! Plus they had one hot air balloon tethered by three cars so people could ride up and down. Enjoy the pictures and video! And visit http://nwgeorgiaballoonfestival.homestead.com/GeorgiaBalloon.html for more information on this event.
Here is the video of the hot air balloon that was tethered. It went up and down to give people rides inside a hot air balloon. The kids enjoyed it!
Here are some pictures from the vendor area. The most popular things were the water attractions. With temps at 90 degrees + you can see why.
The kids loved the water attractions!
Ice cream and cold drinks were popular too!
Here are the great pictures of the hot air balloons. One balloon was tied down by three cars to give people rides. The other balloons were blown up but were never launched.
Here are some great shots of my favorite balloon at the festival before it was taken down.
