Cheaha Challenge 2012 Edition

On Sunday this area had the Cheaha Challenge.  The 102 mile bike race from Piedmont, AL to Mt. Cheaha and back.  Many riders participated in the ride and many volunteers were along the route helping the riders with comforts such as water and food.  So enjoy the video on the beginning of the Cheaha Challenge.

Loops were taped onto the road recording the riders time.

There were five pit stops along the entire route that provided water and food to the riders.

I was staked out driving on the wrong side of the road for several stretches along the route.  Do not try this at home!

And at the end of the day all the riders got to enjoy a shower and a meal!  This event along with the Noble Street Festival provided a great weekend of bike riding!
