The youth group from Life Church Assembly of God in Rainbow City walked up and down Steele Station Rd. from Rainbow City to Steele for 33 miles over three days to raise funds for Speed the Light.  Kevin Lewis; the church’s youth minister has two reasons this group did the walk.  One is to help young people relate to what Jesus experienced as He carried His cross, and to raise money for missions through Speed the Light, a national program of the Assemblies of God.

Speed the Light provides technology equipment such as computers, cameras, camcorders, and other equipment to missionaries around the globe.  The youth group just started the walk down Steele Station Rd. on Saturday morning and one is carrying a huge wooden cross on wheels down the road.  Each person participating had to raise funds through sponsorships.  Enjoy the photos below; and come back for more photos and videos of all the events I covered on Saturday.
