Shape Up! Week 2

This is week two in my series of Shape Up!  The weekly post on what I did over the last week in my quest to getting healthier.

Well it has been a tough week.  Alabama had a tornado outbreak on Monday morning and yes I did stay up all night long to keep an eye on the weather and to warn people on my social media accounts.  Alabama had around a dozen tornadoes tear though the landscape and it did a lot of damage.  And three people were killed in the outbreak.  With this state still fragile after the April 27th super outbreak.  Many people stayed up through the night to stay on top of the weather.  After taking naps throughout the day Monday and getting full sleep Monday night I got back to a normal routine.

This week was also a lot of walking.  With the announcement of even more job cuts in Calhoun County this week this area is in a lot of trouble.  So my prospects of finding any work in this area are close to 0%.  But hey; I got my unemployment extended this week.  Which is better than nothing.  I have looking hard for work over the last week with nothing again.  And it is tough to keep your hopes up when you get rejected time and time again.  But I have all of you who read Young’s Blog to keep me company.  And that is great!

So here is the rundown on what I ate this week.

I still have more energy and feel very good even with the all-nighters.  So we will head on to week 3 of the Shape Up! campaign.  On Saturday I am attending the Food Blog South conference in Birmingham.  So I wonder how much temptation there will be while at the event.  But since I do recipes on Young’s Blog this is something worth doing.  Maybe that might come with a job as well.  So let’s continue my ways to get to better health!
